Superbowl 52

This winter, my friends and I decided to work security for the Superbowl held here in Minneapolis. We thought it'd be a great way to earn money fast with little obligation. Part of working included 12 hours of training; 7 online and 5 in person with S.A.F.E Management (the security company I signed up to work with). The training itself was completely boring but one of the people in charge had an interesting thing he said. "Why did Minneapolis want the Superbowl held here? To show off their new stadium? No. They want money."
When I thought about it, this was all a big political move. And it made sense. Hosting the Superbowl meant people from all over America (and the world) will come to Minneapolis. They book hotels in the cities, eat at restaurants here, and hire services as well. More money will be coming into Minneapolis. More people have to work shifts and hours, but that means more people have money. They mentioned that hiring people here in Minnesota for security helps them earn extra cash that they too can spend on things in Minneapolis as well. I mean, it's April and I just got my check for working the superbowl so I guess working for the superbowl didn't help much for the econ of Minneapolis after the superbowl? As I found the Economix book interesting and helpful for learning econ, I can be honest in saying I remember reading something about circulating money in the book somewhere but my mind does not like econ and I remember crap about it.
