Hold on, let me check my watch.

When I think of how technology has changed me, it gets a little blurry. I can’t remember a time where technology hasn’t been apart of my life. And that scares me. When I think to the last few years though, there is one item that has definitely changed the way I do things; my Apple Watch.

Don’t get me wrong, I love my Apple Watch. But the more I think about it, I am really wearing a mini phone on my wrist. I can call people, txt people, look at the news and the weather, and so much more. Whenever I get an email, I can read it on my watch. This piece of technology has changed the way I do things completely! I love to send messages of my watch! It is so simple and easy.

Why does it change me? Well, I no longer read all my messages on my phone, I know when someone is calling me even if I don’t have my phone, I can even have my watch give me directions. Whenever I need something, I always am checking on my watch first rather than going straight to my phone. It is faster and more immediate.

Something seems weird with wearing this much technology on my wrist though. Yeah it is super cool and modern, but is this changing people for good? Is it changing people at all…I think so. Ever since Fitbits and Apple Watch’s hit the market, consumers went crazy. Now online, there and tons of different brands and styles of wearable technology. We are quickly become obsessed with not only having the latest and greatest, but also with the new ways we can integrate technology into our daily life. It makes me wonder what new technology we are going to create next. What new ways can we integrate technology more into our daily life? The answer might scare us.
