Dating apps have changed the way that I approach forming a relationship with people. These apps have made it possible for me to connect with people that I would have otherwise not been able to meet. There are also negative consequences to these apps as well. Some gay dating apps in particular forces users to identify with a tribe that matches their body type. I believe these categories are supposed to be helpful in matching compatibility and attraction between two people, but I also believe that this has partly made it easier for people to rely less on trying to build relationships.

We found love in a hopeless place
I can shamelessly admit that I am a hopeless romantic. As a child, I imagined meeting my boyfriend by accidentally bumping into him in the hallway. We would gaze into each others eyes as he helps me pick up my papers that fell out of my hands or I dreamed about falling in love with a mysterious lab partner. Neither of these happened so I decided to get a Tinder account to find my prince charming.
